chapter 4
After using the Power of Linguistic Sorcery, even if she wasn’t expelled, Shi Min would at least be temporarily suspended from school.
To seek benevolence and receive benevolence-this was the wish they made themselves.
It wasn’t me who actively harmed anyone.
Everyone who bullied me will get what they deserve.
After witnessing me getting beaten up twice, Teacher Li finally took pity on me and led me away.
She said, “Come on, good child, let’s go tidy up at the teacher’s place. I’ll cook lunch for you today.”
Then she warmly took me to the Faculty Dormitory.
Xinglin High School is a private secondary school. For the sake of student enrollment and reputation, it admits quite a few students from poor families and provides them with subsidies every semester.
I am one of them.
The school is not short of money, especially when it comes to the living conditions of the faculty-they actually live in small villas.
Teacher Li, like a gentle mother, saw me covered in dirty food stains and handed me clean clothes, stuffing them into my hands:
“Little girls should look pretty. Go take a shower first, I’ll go make lunch.”
I looked at the little pink dress with a butterfly bow, clenching my palm, unmoved.
Seeing me like this, she burst out laughing:
“Don’t worry, these clothes are brand new. They’re perfect for little girls like you.”
When I finished showering and came out, she had already set the food on the table and was diligently serving me dishes.
Looking at the mountain of delicious food piled in my bowl, tears streamed down my face, and my urge to confide suddenly overflowed:
“T-Teacher, I’m an orphan. Luckily, the school leaders gave me the chance to study. I’m really grateful to all of you…”
Teacher Li stroked my hair, her eyes shining with a strange light:
“If you’re grateful to the leaders, there’ll be a chance in the future.”
