Chapter 1
Actually, three days ago, I was still a normal beautiful girl.
That day during physics class, while I was dozing off, I heard a commotion outside. The next thing I knew, my arm was bitten by my deskmate, who had already been infected.
When I woke up again, I was already at home.
My mom stared at me and sighed, “I heard people say you turned into something… a Zombie? Anyway, not something normal, but whatever, at least you’re still alive…”
I was shocked that I could still understand what my mom was saying and that I still had my memories.
A Zombie-isn’t that supposed to be a mindless, shambling corpse?
“You have no idea how long I searched before I finally found you in that pile of Zombies. Those things were all baring their teeth and biting people. I kicked one down and that’s how I managed to bring you home…”
No wonder my mom is known as the shrew within a ten-mile radius-even Zombies can’t deal with her.
After going downstairs, I threw away the trash in my hand and started looking for a target on the street.
I wasn’t actually hungry, but whenever I saw someone, I wanted to bite them. Well, except for my mom.
There’s a big supermarket five hundred meters east of our neighborhood. I wanted to finish the task my mom gave me first-if I forgot, she would start nagging again.
On the way, I ran into Xiao He, whose mouth was covered in blood. She was carrying half a brain in her hand, still dressed in her school uniform.
I didn’t greet her.
Over the past few days, I’ve realized that I might be the only Zombie with consciousness and memory, at least for now.
Other Zombies are just like the ones in the movies: they bite people on sight, with no thought whatsoever.
Except for not being able to talk, moving slowly, and my complexion being pale like a Zombie, I wasn’t much different from a human.
Also, my hearing had become incredibly sensitive, but my eyesight got worse. My mom insisted it was because I’d spent too much time looking at my phone. That really made me mad.
So I became a Zombie because I stared at my phone too much, huh.
I felt endless loneliness, as if the whole world was drunk and I alone was sober.
Thinking about how from now on I could only communicate with my mom, I couldn’t help but want to have a good cry.
It was very quiet around the supermarket. The main entrance was locked, but luckily, I knew there was a back door.
That door was well hidden-only regular customers would know about it. I squeezed in through a small path and bumped into a few fellow Zombies on the way.
It was very quiet inside the supermarket.
I moved slowly towards the produce section. Since the outbreak hadn’t happened long ago and the survivors didn’t dare to come out, there were still plenty of vegetables, though they weren’t very fresh anymore.
I picked a few things my mom wanted, put them in my backpack, grabbed a few pieces of meat and wrapped them in plastic bags. Once I was done, just as I was about to leave, I suddenly saw large shelves of snacks and fell silent.
If it were the old me, I’d definitely have taken them all. But now, I didn’t feel the slightest bit of appetite.
I sighed laboriously to express my emotions, but then I heard a startled cry from behind me: “There’s a Zombie!”

Kiss the Zombie Girl
I am a Zombie.
Early in the morning, my mom burst into my room, yanked open the curtains, and, wearing an apron and brandishing a spatula, shouted at me: “Still sleeping? Stayed up...
