Unfortunately, I didn’t end up doing that.
I had originally planned to use the excuse of getting out of the car to help the pregnant woman over to the Green Belt.
Then, I would take the opportunity to run away.
Behind the Green Belt was a Thicket.
As long as I ran into the Thicket,
The Thug wouldn’t be able to do anything to me.
But the pregnant woman would be in trouble.
She would become the next hostage in my place.
Thinking of the unborn baby in her belly, I softened.
I didn’t get out of the car, but shouted at her, “You’re about to give birth! If something happens, who’s responsible?”
“Go wait in the Green Belt over there, I’ll call 120 for you.”
But just as I pulled out my phone to make the call,
The Man in the Passenger Seat pressed down on my hand.
“Give her a ride. It’s New Year’s, it’s not easy for anyone.”
“I’m a man, it’s inconvenient for me. You help her into the car, we’ll go to the hospital first.”
