“I can’t do it.” Qin dropped the Feed in her hands and turned away, her voice trembling. “I can’t do it…”

Fu Zhixing let go of the Lamb, which ran to the corner, shivering.

“This lamb…” He frowned tightly. “Something’s not right.”

“What’s not right?” Jack said anxiously. “They haven’t eaten yet! Do you all want to die? Hurry up and Feed them!”

“Why are you so impatient?” Jenny shot him a glare. “These sheep are obviously different from the others. Shouldn’t we be more cautious?”

Jack wanted to retort, but suddenly, the Lambs that had eaten the Feed began to bleat.

The bleating sounded cute, but to their ears, it was like vengeful ghosts demanding their lives.

“Run!” Fu Zhixing shouted immediately.

Without warning, a thick fog rose up all around, slowly consuming the surroundings and closing in.

Without hesitation, they bolted.

The fog was eerily strange; any animal that touched it let out a scream of unbearable pain.

They dared not linger and ran out the door as fast as they could. Fortunately, the fog did not spread further, remaining within the area enclosed by the Fence.

“Great!” Jack shouted angrily, staring at the Fence shrouded in thick fog. “You wouldn’t Feed them when I told you to, and now we can’t Feed them even if we wanted to!”

“I’ve tolerated you long enough.” Qin stepped forward and grabbed his collar. “Shut up.”

Jack’s face turned bright red as he struggled desperately, but despite being a man, he couldn’t break free from Qin’s grip.

“Don’t do this, we’re all teammates. Let’s talk it out,” Rose said anxiously, trying to rescue Jack.

“Is this really the time for infighting?” Jenny sneered at the scene before her. “Looks like none of you want to live. Just don’t drag me down when you decide to die.”

“Let’s all say less,” Tu Nan rubbed her temples in frustration. “We should head back to the Mansion and think things through.”

For Rose’s sake, Qin finally let go of Jack with a cold snort. She gave him a hard shove, and Jack lost his balance, falling straight to the ground.

“Think things through? Even if those Lambs are a problem,” he was nearly hysterical, “Lilith’s Cat still hasn’t been Fed. Now the inside is surrounded by thick fog-where are we supposed to get Feed?”

“I brought some out.” Tu Nan raised the Feed in her hand. “Can we stop arguing now?”

“Good thing you thought ahead,” Qin said tiredly. “Let’s go. Just looking at this guy makes me want to hit him.”

Jack was furious but dared not speak.

Rose sighed in distress.

They returned to the Mansion together, just in time for lunch.

After a busy morning, everyone was starving, but still couldn’t eat or drink freely.

“I can’t stand another day like this,” Jenny downed her glass of water. “I hate Instances that restrict food the most.”

Tu Nan glanced at the dishes on the table and suddenly smiled when she saw one of them.

She finally understood what Simon meant earlier.

“Eat this one,” she said, pointing to the Wellington Steak on the table. “I can guarantee Simon made this.”

“Is this the dish you taught him?” Fu Zhixing understood immediately.

“Yes,” Tu Nan nodded.

Fu Zhixing didn’t hesitate to cut a piece of steak and eat it. His manners were elegant, but the speed at which he ate showed just how long he’d been hungry.
Although Tu Nan had shared some food with them at breakfast, it was merely a drop in the bucket. Coupled with such intense physical activity, everyone was quite famished.

The others saw that Fu Zhixing had swallowed his portion without any adverse reaction, so they each cut into the Wellington Steak and began to eat hungrily.

“It seems you have all completed the task?”

A hoarse voice interrupted their enjoyment of the meal.

George pushed Lilith into the Dining Room. Lilith held a white Persian Cat in her arms, curiously watching them.

“Did you go to feed my Pets?” she said happily. “They’ve been hungry for a long time.”

“There’s still one left,” Tu Nan wiped the corner of her mouth, stood up, and walked over to Lilith, squatting down in front of her.

Lilith stared at her with wide eyes, as if curious about what she was going to do.

Tu Nan opened her palm, revealing a few pieces of Feed she had brought out.

The Persian Cat looked at the Feed in her hand, meowed softly, and came over to lick the Feed clean from her palm.

“How could I forget that Xiao Bai hasn’t been fed yet?” Lilith lifted the Persian Cat and kissed it happily. “Xiao Bai, did you enjoy your meal?”

“Meow.”

Lilith giggled with delight.

Tu Nan bravely reached out and petted the Cat’s head. “Such a cute Cat,” she praised.

[Lilith’s Favorability towards you: 5]

“Thank you,” Lilith said sincerely. “People always used to forget to feed Xiao Bai.”

“We’ve completed the task,” Tu Nan said to George.

“But…”

“Uncle George,” Lilith lifted Xiao Bai to show him, “Look how happy Xiao Bai is.”

George paused, and the wrinkles on his face seemed to soften a little. “Yes, Miss Lilith, it does look very happy.”

“Thank you all,” Lilith said. “Xiao Bai hasn’t been this happy in a long time.”

“Since Miss is satisfied, consider your task complete,” George said to them, his expression returning to its usual insincere smile. “As a reward, you may have free time this afternoon.”

Free time? Tu Nan raised her eyebrows slightly. This was a good opportunity to explore the Mansion.

“Uncle Simon has made a new dish,” Lilith’s eyes lit up when she saw the Wellington Steak on the table. “I want to try it.”

George glanced at the dish and frowned. “This is too greasy, Miss Lilith. Have you forgotten the doctor’s instructions? You need to watch your diet.”

Lilith visibly drooped. “Can’t I just have one bite?”

“The doctor will be coming for a follow-up tomorrow,” George said sternly. “Until then, you must strictly follow the medical advice.”

“Alright,” Lilith said, extremely disappointed. “I won’t eat it.”

“Is a doctor coming to the Mansion?” Fu Zhixing caught the key point in George’s words and asked casually.

“Yes,” George glanced at him. “A doctor comes every month for Miss Lilith’s check-up.” With that, he offered no further information.

Tu Nan returned to her seat, lowered her head, and pretended to cut the steak, but couldn’t help thinking.

Lilith was only unable to walk due to her legs. The Mansion was equipped everywhere for Wheelchair access, and these facilities seemed to have been there for years, indicating her disability was not recent.

If it were just a disability, would such a strict diet be necessary?
