Chapter 47
In the splendid and magnificent Palace of the Underworld King.
On the sole Throne sat a tall, imposing figure.
Bosi rested his chin on one hand, rarely browsing the internet during a weekday.
He pulled up his account.
There was a massive amount of Points inside, enough not only to pay Lu Li’s salary, but also to enter the Live Stream Room lobby and join Lu Li’s Live Stream Room.
Lu Li’s Live Stream Room was conspicuous.
All Players participating in Bug Instances had their Live Stream Rooms pinned at the top of the lobby, sorted by progress.
Lu Li’s was ranked first.
It was hard not to notice.
When Bosi clicked in, he happened to see Lu Li leap from the Instance Boss’s shoulder into a sea of fire.
The screen was filled with burning flames, and even through the monitor, the terrifying heat could be felt.
Bosi couldn’t help but lean forward, getting closer to the screen, trying to spot Lu Li’s figure in the fire.
His clenched palm pressed against the sharply defined Snake Heads on either side of the Throne.
Lu Li reappeared, elegantly returning to the starting point with a Doll in hand.
When he picked up the Doll to show the Boss, his calm and steady voice stood out against the chaotic atmosphere. The Live Stream Room’s camera captured his movements and features with extreme clarity.
His eyes were like a gray sea.
One glance and you could drown in them.
No matter how filthy or chaotic the surroundings, nothing seemed able to leave a mark on him.
As Lu Li raised his hand with agile precision, the original Necromancer Game costume lifted slightly, revealing a slender and toned waist.
The image flashed by in an instant.
Bosi sat back on the Throne, his eyes lowered slightly.
Lu Li wouldn’t die anyway, so there was nothing to worry about.
But he gripped the Snake Head on the edge of the Throne tighter, frowning as he pondered another matter.
How had he never noticed before?
Were the in-game clothes always this short?
He watched as Lu Li cleared the Instance smoothly, finishing the entire run. The screen went black, and a line of white text appeared in the center of the Live Stream Room:
[This Player has returned to the game lobby. Settlement in progress.]
Bullet Comments scrolled frantically:
[Oh my god, the Live Stream Room is settling! Four times! It’s really four times the Spirit Money! This is the first time I’m so glad I’m a face-con! I’m giving all my Spirit Money to the Streamer, this is a huge win!!]
[The Instance disappeared! Fellow Ghosts, has this Instance completely vanished from the Live Stream Room lobby?!! I’ve watched streams for years, and this is the first time I’ve seen something like this!]
[Holy crap, I just witnessed a miracle!]
[Wait! Did anyone just see the Streamer’s waist? Kill me now, in less than half a second, I didn’t even have time to screenshot!!]
[Whoa, I saw tons of big spender entry effects-why did so many Evil Spirit whales suddenly flood into the Live Stream Room? Is this new Streamer about to blow up!]
[He’s the only Player to clear and close a D Grade Bug Instance, now ranked first in the Live Stream Room lobby.]
The Bullet Comments were dazzling. Bosi didn’t exit the Live Stream Room, just pushed the screen farther away.
He silently watched the Palace entrance, where a sliver of pale sunlight had just streamed in.
Lu Li cleared the Instance during the day, so there would be no Game Night today.
It would only begin with the next Instance.
Bosi thought, so this is what the start of daytime feels like.
Had daytime always lasted this long?
–
The mark left by Lu Li’s bite under the glove grew hotter and hotter. As Bosi took off his glove to check, a message popped up on the screen.
The sender was Lu Li.
[Lu Li]: Bosi, sorry to bother you this morning. But remember to pay up.
[Lu Li]: Bank transfer or cash?
Bosi was considering how to reply when Lu Li’s message was suddenly covered by a new one on the screen.
A new message popped up.
[Cat-Walking Sundae]: Bro, I see your account’s Nobles level is maxed out! The Streamer’s exclusive crying screenshots, bundled and sold at a huge discount-10 for 5000 Points, how about it?
Bosi sneered.
These days, even scammers dare to target him.
Truly audacious.
It seemed that while the Necromancer Game was progressing, there was also a need to clean up these small-scale private reselling operations.
Seeing that Bosi was online but not replying, Cat-Walking Sundae thought he was hesitating over the price and quickly tried to stoke the fire:
[Cat-Walking Sundae]: Not to brag! This Streamer’s looks and skills are both top-notch-definitely a future star on the Heavenly Ranking. In my opinion, at least top ten! These screenshots are already out of print, and their price will only go up. Once there are no more pictures to see, you’ll regret it!
Cat-Walking Sundae kept waiting, watching the “typing…” indicator at the top of the chat box flicker on and off.
Soon, his patience wore thin:
Ten minutes!
A whole ten minutes!
That’s enough time to write an essay!
Isn’t buying a photo just a yes or no? Why type for so long without a clear answer?
Typing this slow-it’s almost unbelievable.
Could it be an old ghost surfing the net for the first time?
A new reply refreshed in the chat box. Cat-Walking Sundae immediately leaned in, not daring to miss out on this big deal.
[User01]: Send me one first so I can take a look.

The Necromancer Game Development Department was in chaos early in the morning.
The Horned Evil God, dressed in a crisp suit, stood at the department entrance with a new notice.
“Add another product. Start research today and get beds online in the Home Goods category as soon as possible.”
The Wolf Manager tucked his tail and flattened his ears in a fawning manner. “Sir, the Home Goods main category we discussed last time isn’t finished yet. The soonest would be the week after next…”
“Manage the timing yourself.”
The Horned Evil God fixed one eye on him, while the other glanced down, flipping to the last page of a densely written notebook, the golden pen tip sketching on the page.
“There are a few requirements for the new beds.”
The Horned Evil God said, “Don’t make them so big that the two ghosts sleeping on them are too far apart to touch each other, but not so small that they’re forced to be in constant contact.”
The Wolf Manager followed closely, taking notes. “Oh, right, so a moderately wide double-ghost bed.”
The Horned Evil God continued, “At the same time, it must meet these conditions: not too soft but still comfortable; not too hard but able to minimize pressure on the ghost’s spine and waist; not too low so they’re not sleeping directly on the floor; not too high but easy to get on and off-if it can give a feeling of sleeping on the ground, even better.”
Wolf Manager: “??”
Isn’t this making things difficult?
So, should they sleep on the ground or not?
He felt dizzy after listening, his head buzzing. “S-s-sir! Your requirements are no different from asking us to make a colorful black!”
The Horned Evil God closed the notebook, revealing a wicked, exploitative smile.
“The difference is, this requirement-you must fulfill.”
