Chapter 1

The moment I discovered I’d won thirty million, I wept with joy and immediately dialed my sugar daddy’s number.

We had been in a cold war for a week following a fight.

It took a long time for the call to be picked up.

“What is it?” he asked lazily on the other end.

The background was noisy, sounding like either a KTV or a bar.

“You might not believe me when I say this,” I said.

“Then don’t say it,” my sugar daddy replied, his tone impatient.

Me: …

I gritted my teeth. “I’m actually a fairy who descended to the mortal realm to undergo a trial. Being by your side has allowed me to experience the suffering of the human world. My trial is over now, and I’m returning to the celestial realm.”

Silence hung on the other end for several seconds. “Are you having a mental breakdown?”

I gave a cold laugh. “So, goodbye forever.”

I hung up decisively and proceeded to blacklist his number and all his contact information.

Just as I was weighing how to send my ‘sponsorship’ application to Cheng Chao, I received a message:

[What happened? Have you fallen out of favor?]

I clicked on the video sent along with it. In the video, Ji Lanchi’s long fingers were resting on a woman’s slender waist.

He looked down casually, listening to the woman speak, a lazy, faint smile playing on his lips.

Multicolored lights flashed rhythmically, casting an incredibly intimate glow over them while others nearby teased them with grins.

Ji Lanchi had money, looks, and a playful streak; there were plenty of beautiful girls throwing themselves at him.

I hesitated for a moment, deciding not to mention the lottery win.

I simply replied to that friend: [Yeah, it ended peacefully.]

After perfunctorily accepting a few words of comfort from the friend, I focused my full attention on Cheng Chao’s WeChat profile picture.

Cheng Chao was incredibly handsome, but he was broke. I’d heard his family was very poor.

So, I decided to be direct: [Are you down? Ten thousand per session.]

Two hours later.

I still hadn’t received a reply.

I checked-I was blocked.

But that was normal; he probably thought I was a scammer or a pervert.

So the next day, I cornered him directly outside the male dormitory.

Oh my god, he was even handsomer up close.

I cleared my throat. “Um, excuse me, classmate.”

Cheng Chao was wearing a T-shirt washed so thin the color had faded, but it couldn’t hide his extraordinary looks and temperament. His features were exquisite, and his thin lips were slightly pursed. As he stood before me, he cast a large shadow.

“What is it?” his voice was cold and clear.

I looked at him sincerely. “Actually, I’ve admired you for a long time. I’ve always had a wish-for you to become my boyfriend.”

Cheng Chao remained expressionless.

The next moment, I leaned in nervously. “I heard you’re short on money, and I’m not looking for a free ride. Ten thousand per session, how about it? I have a good personality and I’m very easy to please. Cough… my ‘needs’ aren’t that high, so it definitely won’t tire you out.”

Cheng Chao finally looked me in the eye. “Was that you yesterday?”

I nodded like a chick pecking at grain. “I’m being very sincere.”

“Don’t you have a boyfriend?” Cheng Chao raised an eyebrow slightly. His expression still didn’t change much; he didn’t seem offended by me.

I gave a hollow laugh. “What boyfriend? You mean Ji Lanchi? He’s weak as hell, has a rotten temper, a sharp tongue, and he’s a playboy. He’s totally bizarre. Just because he has a bit of stinking money, he parades around every day-it’s honestly despicable.”

I accidentally lost control and ranted a bit too much. Realizing this, I quickly grabbed Cheng Chao’s hand. “I know you’re definitely not like him.”

He fell silent.

Just when I thought it was a lost cause.

Cheng Chao suddenly lowered his gaze, his voice softening. “I am indeed… having some financial difficulties.”

There’s a chance!!!

My eyes sparkled like stars. “It’s fine, I’ve got money now. I’ll make sure you’re living the high life.”

“But,” he looked quite hesitant, “won’t that Ji Lanchi have an issue with this?”

“He’s in no position to have an issue!” I couldn’t help but raise my voice. “Don’t worry, he’s not as handsome as you, and he’s nowhere near as likable.”

Cheng Chao stared at me with his dark eyes for a long moment before his lips curled into a smile. He opened his phone and removed me from his blacklist.

I gave him a joyful hug. “My place tonight. Be there or be square!”
