Chapter 5

Whatever, I might as well enjoy this ‘artistic’ disc.

I sat poised on the sofa as the screen slowly revealed a small cabin nestled in the mountains at night.

The camera zoomed in, showing a tall man wearing a heavy black mask and a windbreaker. He was swinging a sledgehammer, bringing it down again and again.

I couldn’t see what he was hitting, but I could hear a sound like pig bones cracking.

As if sensing the camera, the man turned his head. Those deep, blue-tinted eyes seemed to pierce through the television screen, locking onto me.

He raised his index finger to his lips in a ‘shushing’ gesture, like a warning.

Faced with this, I slowly pulled out my glasses.

With a gaze as sharp as a torch, I stared at the impressive veins on the man’s exposed arms and the line of his Adam’s apple, clicking my tongue in critique.

“The quality looks decent from this angle, but I wonder what he looks like with his clothes off.”

…

The man shifted his gaze away from the camera, swinging the sledgehammer with even more force than before.

The disc ended abruptly and without explanation. The screen went completely black, and then red text appeared:

[YOU ARE NEXT.]

Huh?

I scratched my head, bewildered, as the flames of fury from being fooled began to rise in my heart!

It was clearly labeled 18+, yet all they showed me was ten minutes of a man swinging a sledgehammer!

This was just as infuriating as a friend sending a link to something ‘good,’ only to click it and hear the booming voice of a game intro!

Damn it! You dare play me? I’m going to beat you until you’re as thin as a panty liner!
