After finishing the cleaning, I pulled back the curtains and opened the window to let the sunlight in…

Except the sunlight couldn’t get in. A massive locust tree loomed outside, shrouding the entire western-style house in its shadow.

No wonder there was a persistent smell of damp and mold in this place.

Wiping away my sweat, I was startled by the sudden ring of the doorbell.

Oh?

I opened the door to find a young girl. Trembling, she thrust a disc toward me. “I… I hope you can watch this…”

Her hair was a mess, dark circles bruised the skin under her eyes, and her voice was as faint as the buzz of a mosquito.

Confused, I looked down at the video disc she had shoved into my arms without a word of explanation.

The top right corner of the cover featured a bright red circle with ’18’ inside it, set against a purple background filled with lace patterns.

Holy crap. I knew this game was adult-oriented, but no one told me I’d get to see this kind of spicy stuff after actually entering the game!

The more I looked at the dark circles under the girl’s eyes, the more I became convinced she was suffering from physical exhaustion. I gratefully accepted the disc and patted her on the shoulder. “Men are great and all, but don’t overindulge, okay?”

The girl stared at me in a daze as I tucked the disc into my shirt. She whispered a quick thank you, then turned and bolted away.
