“You should immediately send a few Police Officers from the School to check the Security Room. There might be some unexpected findings!”
There was the sound of a mobile phone being picked up on the other end of the line.
Chen Shu recognized Han Xue’s voice.
“Chen Shu, where are you now?”
Han Xue’s tone was slightly anxious.
“I’m on my way to the School. What’s wrong?”
“Alright, I’ll head there right away too.”
Chen Shu hung up the phone, and a few minutes later arrived at the School gate, only to find that a crowd of onlookers had already gathered.
Inside the Security Room, several Police Officers were discussing something.
Seeing this scene, Chen Shu immediately knew something had happened.
He walked forward and looked at the Security Room, which was now cordoned off with police tape.
Chen Shu asked one of the onlookers, “What’s going on?”
An older aunt immediately leaned in and whispered the details to Chen Shu.
“Young man, someone was found dead at the School early this morning! Haven’t you heard? The School posted a notice this morning, said it was a murder case!”
Worry was written all over the aunt’s face.
“Then someone found another dead person in the Security Room! So now the Police Officers are inside looking for evidence!”
“Oh, thank you!”
Chen Shu nodded gratefully to her.
Just as he had suspected.
Chen Shu stood outside watching for a while, and soon saw several Police Officers carrying a body out of the Security Room.
Chen Shu quickly stepped forward to take a closer look. He saw a wound on the neck, the blood already coagulated and dark purple.
The body was wearing the School security uniform.
There was only one fatal wound on the neck, with no other injuries.
When Chen Shu looked at the face, his pupils suddenly contracted.
The face could no longer be called a complete human skin, as the skin on the facial features and the bridge of the nose had been forcibly torn off!
Chen Shu couldn’t help but swallow, a chill rising in his heart!
“Make way.”
At this moment, a clear and pleasant female voice rang out.
Chen Shu turned his head and saw a female Police Officer in uniform walking through the crowd.
It was Han Xue.

The female Police Officer saw the crowd at the School gate and couldn’t help but speak up.
“Captain Han, have you checked the victim’s name?” Han Xue asked the Police Officers at the scene.
“Yes, his name is Zhou Ping, thirty-seven years old, male, lives at…”
The Criminal Investigation Team member recited an address.
Afterwards, several members of the Criminal Investigation Team searched the Security Room but found nothing more.
“Captain Han, it looks like the killer didn’t leave any clues!”
A Police Officer said to Han Xue.

Han Xue nodded, but her brows were still furrowed with worry.
Chen Shu stood silently to the side, watching Han Xue and another Police Officer discuss.
Han Xue also noticed Chen Shu standing nearby.
She walked over to Chen Shu and said, “Chen Shu, did you already suspect this?”
Chen Shu nodded.
Han Xue sighed, “When you walked out of the Interrogation Room earlier, I thought you seemed a bit strange. You asked me to check the identity of the School’s security, so I knew there might be a problem in the Security Room.”
Han Xue continued, “We checked the surveillance footage and found that yesterday, the cameras at the School gate and near the Back Mountain had been deleted by Liu Hai.”
“Only today’s footage remains, and we saw you arrived at the School early this morning, and heard you were looking for someone named Zhang Li. Also, the Security Room’s on-duty guard had already left the School when we arrived. So…”
Han Xue trailed off at the end.
Chen Shu also understood what Han Xue meant.
So last night, the security guard in the Security Room had already been killed, and then the murderer, “Chen Shu,” had already taken his face and used his skin to sneak into the School.

“Chen Shu” looked down at the girl.

The girl replied through her tears.

Then another scene flashed by, showing the girl looking happy.

“Thank you, Doctor Chen. The medicine you gave me worked.”

“You wrote my name wrong last time. Just mentioning it makes me angry!”
“My name is Zhang Lili. I have a twin sister.

The girl’s voice was filled with anger.

In the scene, “Chen Shu” comforted her.

“Chen Shu” spoke gently, his tone full of tenderness.
His expression and actions were so natural and kind.
But suddenly, the girl exploded, grabbing “Chen Shu’s” hand fiercely.
“It’s not enough, not nearly enough!”
“I want to kill them. I want both of them dead! I hate them!”
The girl sobbed.
“Chen Shu” frowned slightly, continuing to comfort her.
“I’m just a doctor. I don’t kill people.”
“My scalpel only saves lives. Otherwise, I would help you kill them.”
The girl’s emotions gradually calmed down.

The images from this memory quickly faded, and Chen Shu gradually saw Han Xue looking at him.
“Chen Shu? What’s wrong?”
But a powerful pain swept through Chen Shu’s entire body, and he collapsed.
“Chen Shu!”
Han Xue looked at the suddenly head-clutching Chen Shu in confusion.

Chen Shu fainted to the ground.
He mumbled softly.
