Zhang Lili heard her younger sister talking with the person she liked, and her heart skipped a beat.

She lay on her bed, eyes tightly shut, as if she could hear the sound of her own heartbeat echoing in her ears.

Her sister’s words pierced her heart like sharp blades, leaving her in unbearable pain and turmoil.

Zhang Lili could only pretend to be asleep, continuing to feign slumber, trying to escape from reality.

She took a deep breath, striving to remain calm and composed.

A few minutes later, she heard her sister getting out of bed, followed by the quiet sound of her footsteps leaving.

“Bang-!”

The sound of the dormitory door closing was like an invisible wall, completely severing the connection between Zhang Lili and her sister.

Zhang Lili slowly opened her eyes and looked around. The empty dormitory contained only herself.

Loneliness and helplessness swept over her, weighing her down with a heavy sense of despair.

Suddenly, her phone rang, the shrill ringtone echoing through the quiet dormitory.

Zhang Lili hurriedly picked up her phone, her trembling fingers gently pressing the answer button.

“Hello!”

Her voice quivered, tinged with unease and fear.

On the other end came a deep, hoarse, magnetic voice: “Hello, Zhang Lili. Are you ready?”

That voice sounded like a demon from the depths of hell, sending a chill through Zhang Lili’s heart.

“Soon, you will truly become Zhang Li!”

There was a sinister undertone in the voice, making Zhang Lili feel a wave of desolation.

After hanging up, Zhang Lili tried to collect her thoughts, but she couldn’t fall asleep no matter what.

She simply sat up, leaning against the headboard.

She checked the time-it was around two thirty in the morning.

Outside the window, darkness prevailed, the night shrouding the earth in a mysterious veil.

Zhang Lili frowned slightly, pondering for a moment before curiosity got the better of her.

She decided to go to the Back Mountain and take a look.

Could it be that her sister and the person she liked were meeting up?

She climbed out of bed and went to the bathroom for a quick wash.

Putting on her sneakers, Zhang Lili opened the dormitory door.

She stood at the doorway, hesitating for a long time before finally gathering the courage to head toward the stairs.

Zhang Lili walked all the way to the Back Mountain behind the School, looking up at the clear moonlight.

In the distant woods, faint green lights occasionally flickered, like sinister vipers lurking in the shadows.

Zhang Lili swallowed nervously; she had never been to the Back Mountain before.

She stepped forward, continuing on her way.

The further she went, the more eerie and terrifying the Back Mountain seemed.

She even began to doubt whether her decision had been the right one.

But at this point, there was no room for second thoughts.

As Zhang Lili walked on, she suddenly heard faint sounds ahead.

She saw what looked like a human figure in the distance.

She slowed her pace, inching forward and hiding in the grass.

Zhang Lili quietly moved her body, gradually approaching the figure.

Moonlight outlined his silhouette clearly; he wore a hat, its brim obscuring his face so Zhang Lili couldn’t see his expression.

His fingers were searching for something on the ground.

Zhang Lili’s heart raced.

The man kept his head down, seemingly unaware of the person behind him.

Zhang Lili’s curiosity grew stronger, and she tiptoed after him.

As Zhang Lili drew closer, she suddenly saw what the man was crouching over.

She saw a girl lying on the ground, her face pale, her eyes wide open in shock.

It was unmistakably her own sister’s corpse, because that face was identical to her own!

Seeing this scene, Zhang Lili nearly screamed.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m helping you get better.”

“Don’t you… don’t you want to become your sister?”

At that moment, she heard him say those words.

Zhang Lili’s heart skipped a beat!

Was he the one who had called her?

Then, Zhang Lili saw the man take out a small knife and, with its sharp blade, cut open the unmoving belly of her sister lying on the ground. Blood flowed from the wound…

Zhang Lili watched her sister’s bright red blood drip onto the soil, and something inside her was struck hard.

She covered her mouth, her eyes wide as soccer balls, unable to bear looking any longer.

“I’m a doctor. I told you I’d help you solve your problem!”

The man’s voice came again. He seemed to know Zhang Lili was standing behind him, and immediately turned around, waving the knife that had just sliced open the belly at Zhang Lili.

Zhang Lili’s heart pounded wildly, her legs went weak.

She was so frightened she collapsed to the ground.

Her chest heaved violently, sweat beading on her forehead.

Her whole body was powerless, she didn’t dare make a sound. She pressed her lips tightly shut, tears spilling from the corners of her eyes.

Zhang Lili’s tears rolled down her cheeks, her gaze full of pleading and longing.

She knew that if she dared to cry out,

That knife would surely stab into her throat.

The feeling of being on the brink of death was so vivid.

This terror made her whole body tremble.

“Don’t be afraid! I won’t kill you, I’m helping you get better.”

The man spoke as he put the knife into his pocket.

He plunged his hands into the freshly cut, blood-soaked belly of the girl lying on the ground, searching for something inside.

Soon, the man pulled out intestines from the girl’s belly.

After taking out the intestines, he continued to extract other organs from the girl’s belly.

Zhang Lili shook her head madly.

Then the man took out, one after another, the liver, spleen, stomach, kidneys, lungs, and so on…

Each organ was freshly pulled from the blood, horrifying and shocking.

Zhang Lili was already petrified, her eyes vacant.

At this moment, it seemed the man had finished removing all the organs from the girl on the ground. He stopped moving.

A strange smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, looking extremely eerie.

But just then-

The man walked up to Zhang Lili and grabbed her arm with his blood-soaked hand.

Zhang Lili had completely lost the ability to resist, dragged by him, and she felt that blood-soaked hand radiating intense heat.

The heat didn’t feel like it came from the man’s hand, but rather from the blood of her sister!

The man pulled her closer to her sister’s corpse. She saw that face, identical to her own, eyes wide open, staring at her.

Zhang Lili was terrified by those eyes.

Her pupils contracted sharply, every pore on her body tensed, her mind went blank!

She struggled desperately, trying to break free, but it was useless.

The man’s voice whispered in her ear: “Did you hear the sound?”

“Mm, you should have heard it, right?”

But Zhang Lili couldn’t understand what he meant.

She simply couldn’t understand.

Then the man let go of her hand.

Zhang Lili collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath.

Then, Zhang Lili saw the man bend down and reach into the slit in her sister’s belly.

Compared to before, this time the man’s movements were much more careful, as if afraid of damaging something.

Zhang Lili watched those blood-stained hands, her whole body trembling, her teeth chattering.
