Chapter 3

Zhang Bei made this call out of necessity; Sister Nan could be considered a veteran of the Amusement Park.

She had watched Zhang Bei grow up.

But when Sister Nan was at her most difficult moment, Zhang Bei chose to close the Amusement Park.

At that time, Zhang Bei was focused entirely on accompanying his father.

No matter what conditions Sister Nan proposed, it couldn’t stop the closure of the Amusement Park.

“Forget it, I’ve already found a new job here, and my child is going to school here too.”

Zhang Bei sighed, “I understand. Take care of yourself.”

After hanging up, Zhang Bei frowned.

The Amusement Park had always been short of staff.

If he had to train a newcomer step by step, it would be even more difficult.

Frowning and thinking for a long time, an old acquaintance from his memory surfaced.

He searched his contacts for a while, looked at the number, and decided to dial.

“Hello, who is this?”

Hearing the voice, Zhang Bei took a deep breath.

“Hello, my name is Zhang Bei. I’m the owner of an Amusement Park.”

Upon hearing this, the person on the other end became interested immediately.

“Are you planning to cooperate with our school?”

“Yes, I need about ten graduates and interns recently. May I visit your school?”

“Of course. When are you available?”

Zhang Bei glanced at the sky, “Tomorrow afternoon. We can discuss the details in person.”

The person on the phone was a teacher at a vocational college.

He was mainly responsible for graduate employment.

The tourism management major involved some knowledge about Amusement Parks.

Since he couldn’t find experienced workers, these graduates were the best choice.

The school was in a neighboring city, so Zhang Bei quickly booked a ticket.

Time passed quickly, and Zhang Bei arrived at the school under the blazing sun.

This kind of vocational college didn’t cover a large area, but there were plenty of students.

“Hello, are you Mr. Zhang?”

A voice sounded nearby, and Zhang Bei turned to see two students.

“Yes, that’s me.”

“Hello, Teacher Li asked us to come and meet you.”

Zhang Bei nodded and followed the two students into the school.

The familiar campus atmosphere greeted him.

They walked all the way to an office, where an elderly man sitting in a chair hesitated for a moment upon seeing Zhang Bei.

He hadn’t expected the owner of an Amusement Park to be so young.

“Hello, my surname is Li. Just call me Teacher Li.”

Zhang Bei nodded and sat down.

“Hello, may I ask if the school’s curriculum covers Amusement Park-related topics?”

Teacher Li took out a sheet of paper from the drawer and placed it on the desk.

“This is our students’ class schedule.”

Zhang Bei picked it up and looked through it for a while; there were indeed courses related to Amusement Parks on the schedule.

Many of them were practical training.

Teacher Li looked at Zhang Bei, “What are the accommodation conditions for students, and how is the Cafeteria?”

As a teacher, he had to consider these students who hadn’t yet left the ivory tower.

No matter how good the conditions Zhang Bei offered, if student safety couldn’t be guaranteed,

He would refuse Zhang Bei; this was a teacher’s conscience.

Although Zhang Bei hadn’t prepared everything, he had already made plans.

“Accommodation is in four-person rooms, all five social insurances and one housing fund are provided, and the Cafeteria is self-operated.”

“I need to see the business licenses and such.”

Zhang Bei wasn’t surprised; he immediately pulled up the photos and handed his phone over.

After Teacher Li finished looking, he nodded.

The basic requirements were met; next, it would be a matter between Zhang Bei and the students.
Half an hour later, Zhang Bei was sitting in a classroom, with a list placed neatly in front of him.

Outside the classroom, a long line had already formed.

“I heard this Amusement Park is in the neighboring city, and they offer five types of insurance and a housing fund.”

“Yeah, I heard that too. If the salary is a bit higher, that would be really nice.”

“Wishful thinking, they’re only hiring ten people.”

“Ten is good enough. With my grades, I shouldn’t be left out, right?”

“Ha, and five of those spots are reserved for interns.”

Countless students were discussing issues related to the Amusement Park. The current environment was not what it was a few years ago.

These students didn’t care whether you were a big company or if there was room for advancement.

In their eyes, only the money in hand was real.

Even if your company was number one in the world, if the monthly salary wasn’t enough for a night out drinking,

these people still wouldn’t choose you.

Soon, the interviews began, and the first student in line walked in.

“Hello, interviewer. My name is Xiao Shang. Here is my resume for your review.”

As he spoke, a hint of surprise flashed in the young man’s eyes.

They all knew that the owner of the Amusement Park was coming to the school for this recruitment.

But they hadn’t expected him to be so young.

Zhang Bei waved his hand, “Please, have a seat.”

Xiao Shang sat down across from Zhang Bei, feeling a bit nervous.

Zhang Bei glanced over the resume and asked the first question.

“If a visitor faints on a ride, should you immediately stop the ride?”

The college student’s face was full of confusion. What kind of question was this?

Could visitors really faint on a ride?

“You should immediately stop the ride to protect the visitor’s safety.”

Zhang Bei nodded, “Alright, please call in the next person.”

Actually, the correct answer to this question was the opposite of what the student thought.

If a ride is forcibly stopped while in operation, it could easily cause an accident.

And visitors fainting actually happens quite often in Amusement Parks.

Some are due to being overly frightened, others due to heatstroke.

Neither is fatal, and the best approach is to wait for the ride to finish its cycle.

Prepare medical staff in advance.

Over the course of the afternoon, Zhang Bei interviewed more than fifty people.

He finally found all the staff he needed.

Dinner was settled in the Cafeteria, and he also discussed the specific process with Teacher Li.

The students would officially start in half a month, accompanied by two teachers for on-site inspection.

If student safety could not be guaranteed, the contract would be voided as well.

Boarding the evening high-speed train, Zhang Bei finally returned home.

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, a week had passed.

The dormitories Zhang Bei had prepared for the students were finally completed.

Most Amusement Parks, in order to cut costs, arrange eight-person rooms for students.

But Zhang Bei had also been a student and experienced the hardships of internships.

Actually, as long as the living conditions are decent, even if the work is tiring, these students will still be dedicated.

After inspecting the dormitory environment, Zhang Bei happily paid the final installment.

Looking at his shrinking funds, he gave a wry smile.

But as long as the Amusement Park started operating, the money problem would be greatly alleviated.

Over the next week, Zhang Bei recruited an entire catering team from a hotel.

Two chefs, plus three assistants.

These people would be responsible for staff meals and boxed lunches for the Amusement Park.

On the fifteenth day after returning from the school, a bus stopped at the entrance of the Amusement Park.
