Chapter 28

Zhang Bei nodded slightly. “Sort of. They’re just some mascots. You’ll probably see them tomorrow.”

Just last night, Zhang Bei had sent the specifications for the Amusement Park’s mascots to a factory. The quantity wasn’t large, so they could basically be produced in a day or two.

After a hearty breakfast, the day’s business at the Amusement Park officially began.

Standing amidst the queue of tourists, a man scanned his surroundings with a watchful eye.

Tang Liangcai was a P4 Level Dispatched Agent for Qianda.

Qianda Amusement Park was currently scouting for new locations, and he was a member of the field inspection team. Qianda was currently undergoing a corporate transition, and amusement parks were one of their new ventures.

Of course, as an initial trial, Qianda’s plan was to launch in second-tier cities first. If the results were promising, they would consider a full-scale expansion.

After extensive research, Tang Liangcai had finally settled on this small Amusement Park for his inspection. World-renowned parks like Disney had no reference value for them; those relied on established IP derivatives, and the IP was their true money-maker.

Following the flow of the crowd, Tang Liangcai arrived in front of the Drop Tower. He scanned the area, noting the “Morgue” nearby, while his fingers tapped rapidly on his phone.

*Pavilion: A place for tourists to rest. Nearby snacks can serve as a profit point.*

*Drop Tower: Safety agreements are signed; tourists do not show signs of boredom.*

After finishing his notes, it was soon his turn in line. He tucked his phone away, sat in the chair, and submissively let Li Yang fasten his safety harness.

Li Yang looked at Tang Liangcai and hesitated for a moment.

“First time here? If you’re scared, just close your eyes.”

Tang Liangcai nodded. “Thanks!”

The hundred seats on the Drop Tower were quickly filled, and the control room hit the start button.

Thrilling, intense music began to play as the Drop Tower ascended instantly.

Sitting in his chair, Tang Liangcai’s mind was still racing. *The safety facilities are quite good. The chairs are non-fixed, making them easy to disassemble. The tourists’ reactions aren’t too extreme, and the tension during the descent is strong.*

After three minutes of observation, the Drop Tower paused and then slowly climbed higher. Tang Liangcai’s eyes lit up. This was a surprising design choice; increasing the height after the initial drop heightened the thrill.

Feeling the pull of gravity, Tang Liangcai’s face turned slightly pale. The descent speed from sixty meters was the same as from thirty, but the tension was on a whole different level.

Soon, five minutes had passed, and the Drop Tower changed again.

Tang Liangcai felt the height increasing once more, his pupils shrinking in shock. *What’s happening? It’s still going up? Sixty meters should be the limit for this kind of gravity drop. How can they guarantee safety if it goes any higher?*

Before he could reach a conclusion, the floor beneath him suddenly vanished, and he was left dangling in mid-air.

Tang Liangcai’s face went deathly pale. “Holy shit! Holy shit! Is it malfunctioning?!”

Before he could finish his sentence, he plummeted toward the ground in an instant.

“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! This owner isn’t here to make money-he’s here to kill people!”

His thoughts ended there, replaced only by a desolate scream.

The Human Yo-Yo project had been running for over half a month now. Many regular visitors had already adapted to these changes, though their faces still turned pale and their legs still went weak upon landing.

While everyone else was screaming, one young man was slowly regulating his breathing, using his sheer willpower to resist the inner terror.

Five minutes quietly passed. The Drop Tower returned to the ground and came to a halt.

The moment Tang Liangcai’s feet touched the ground, he collapsed into a kneel right in front of Li Yang.

Li Yang remained calm. He had seen this scene far too many times for it to cause even a ripple of emotion.
However, a voice from nearby made Li Yang turn his head.

A young man slowly unbuckled his seatbelt and stood up.

He shuffled down the steps, one painstaking inch at a time.

In that instant, he became the center of attention, drawing every eye in the area.

A smile broke across the young man’s face. “I did it!”

Li Yang was also somewhat shocked. Although he had known this day would come eventually, he hadn’t expected it to happen after only half a month.

The young man took a deep breath and stood before the activity board to read the rules aloud.

With a solemn expression, Li Yang pulled a card from his pocket and handed it to the man.

“Congratulations, sir. You have earned our Amusement Park’s Free Triple Experience Ticket.”

The young man took the card and beamed when he saw the handwritten serial number: 001.

A round of applause erupted from all sides. Everyone there had ridden the Drop Tower more than once, and they knew exactly how difficult this challenge was.

To succeed in such a feat, he truly deserved to be called a warrior!

After sending the tourists who had lost their ability to move to the Morgue, Li Yang began attending to the next batch of visitors.

Tang Liangcai reclined in a chair, looking at the crowd of pale-faced people surrounding him.

So this wasn’t just a Pavilion-this was what it was actually used for.

The young man who had obtained the Free Ticket was none other than the one who had always admired Qingqing and wanted to sit next to her at the fan meeting.

With his wish fulfilled, the young man took several photos of the Experience Ticket and posted them to the group chat.

Qingqing’s Male God: [I did it!]

Changkong: [Holy crap, someone actually beat that thing?]

Eleven: [Warrior, you have my respect!]

March Squid: [Spill it, how many times did you try?!]

Group Owner Benqing: [Quick, let me see who completed the challenge!]

The young man’s face flushed red. Seeing that Qingqing had sent him a friend request, he flusteredly clicked accept.

Qingqing: [Quick, quick, quick! What does the reward for the challenge look like?]

With trembling hands, the young man sent the photos over.

He looked at the photos on his phone, his face still tinged with a slight blush.

Zhang Bei stood to the side, watching the young man, and couldn’t help but feel sentimental.

The power of love is truly great!

According to Zhang Bei’s estimates, it should have taken at least a month for someone to beat the Drop Tower challenge. He hadn’t expected someone to be so driven that they’d clear it in just over two weeks.

Over in the Morgue, it took Tang Liangcai more than ten minutes to recover.

He looked at the other attractions in the amusement park and hesitated for a moment.

*Forget it, I’ll try the Bumper Cars. That shouldn’t be too scary.*

Rubbing his still-weak legs, he rejoined the queue.

A few minutes later, Tang Liangcai was sitting in a Bumper Car.

Looking at the cool design of the vehicle, he took out his pen and paper to begin his notes.

As for the previous record of the Drop Tower, it was useless now. During those final five minutes, his mind had gone completely blank; he hadn’t recorded anything of value.

There were only twelve Bumper Cars, and they were soon filled.

The music started, and Tang Liangcai stepped on the accelerator, surging forward.

Since they were called Bumper Cars, the fun obviously came from the crashing.

Click.

A faint sound reached his ears. Before Tang Liangcai could react, his car entered a tunnel.

The cheerful music playing in the car instantly turned eerie.

“Holy shit! Holy shit! Boss, save me!”

Intense screams echoed out from within the tunnel.

Zhang Bei turned his head to look at the empty Bumper Car platform. Had someone just called out to him?
