Chapter 12

“Discounted prices, priority in queues.”

This was an advantage for tour groups-they brought popularity to the Amusement Park.

Naturally, they demanded price discounts.

Zhang Bei thought for a moment. “We can offer a 30% discount, but no priority in queues.”

Seeing the man frown, Zhang Bei pulled out a chair and gestured for him to sit down.

Next came the negotiation. Zhang Bei held firm on the queue issue, but conceded a 40% discount.

The travel agency didn’t have it easy either. With Zhang Bei’s tough demands, they had to bring four groups every month.

Each group no fewer than two hundred people.

The main points were settled. The man stood up. “Then it’s settled. The first tour group will arrive tomorrow.”

Zhang Bei nodded. “Pleasure doing business!”

“Pleasure doing business!”

After seeing the man off, the sun was already setting.

Watching the sweat on his employees’ foreheads, Zhang Bei stroked his chin.

The Amusement Park was located on the outskirts of the city, with little entertainment nearby except for a supermarket.

After thinking for a moment, Zhang Bei took out his phone and dialed a number.

“This is Bobo Milk Tea. How can I help you?”

“Twenty cups of milk tea. Can you deliver to the Amusement Park on the outskirts?”

“Yes, sir. What flavors would you like?”

Zhang Bei scratched his head. He really wasn’t familiar with milk tea.

“Just give me your most expensive ones!”

“Alright, sir!”

This milk tea shop was one of the closest to the Amusement Park.

Zhang Bei chose it because they had their own vehicles and could deliver citywide.

With today’s event, visitors to the Drop Tower came in droves.

No one won the free prize, but plenty of 10% off coupons were handed out.

As dusk fell, Zhang Bei announced that this was the last batch of visitors.

Actually, many amusement parks have night sessions, staying open until midnight.

But right now, there weren’t enough visitors to support night hours, nor were there suitable night attractions.

A car stopped at the entrance of the Amusement Park.

A young man in Bobo Milk Tea uniform walked over with a bag.

“Are you Mr. Zhang?”

“That’s me!”

The young man handed Zhang Bei a large bag. “This place is really far out.”

Zhang Bei nodded and took the milk tea.

“I’ve transferred the payment.”

“Alright, enjoy your drinks!”

With a big bag of milk tea, Zhang Bei sat down in the restaurant.

A group of employees closed up the facilities and came in.

“I bought milk tea for everyone, come and get it!”

Hearing Zhang Bei’s voice, Li Yang rushed to the front.

Twenty identical cups of milk tea were neatly arranged on the table.

Li Yang stuck in a straw and took a big sip, his expression turning serious.

He glanced at the name on the packaging and scratched his head.

“Boss, I think even if there’s an earthquake right now, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to run.”

Zhang Bei was stunned. “What do you mean?”

Li Yang pointed at the milk tea in his hand. “I could survive a week on this.”

Zhang Bei touched his nose, picked up a cup, inserted a straw, and took a big sip.

Huh?

It tasted like nothing!

Aside from a faint milky aroma, there was nothing else.

He turned to look at the name of the milk tea: Red Date Taro Oreo Cream Pearl Milk Tea.

The long string of words made Zhang Bei’s face darken.

He lifted the lid. Inside was a semi-solid mass of red, white, and black.

He sighed silently, finally understanding what Li Yang meant.

If there really was an earthquake, surviving seven days on this stuff wouldn’t be a problem.

Even if the rescue team arrived, you could generously tell them to save others first.
Several girls seemed to really enjoy it, taking small bites with their spoons.

Zhang Bei was silent for a moment, put down his milk tea, and picked up his tray.

He really couldn’t accept this thing.

The evening passed uneventfully.

The next morning, as usual, Zhang Bei sat in the Amusement Park.

His eyes were half-closed, leaning back in his chair as if he were asleep.

In reality, Zhang Bei was watching his Emotional Value skyrocket.

According to his estimates, by the end of today’s business hours, his Emotional Value would break ten thousand.

Once it surpassed ten thousand, he could unlock some major projects.

A voice sounded in his ear, pulling Zhang Bei’s consciousness back to reality.

“Boss, the tour group is here!”

The voice belonged to a girl. Zhang Bei opened his eyes and looked ahead.

A Tour Guide holding a red flag was leading a group of people in line.

Zhang Bei stretched lazily and walked over to greet them.

After a brief conversation, Zhang Bei learned that the Tour Guide’s surname was Qu-a rare surname.

The Tour Guide was a middle-aged man. He glanced at the people in line and asked, “What’s up with that Pavilion of yours?”

Following the Tour Guide’s gaze, Zhang Bei looked over-it was the Pavilion he had built.

There were still quite a few people lying inside.

“It’s just a place to rest.”

The Tour Guide frowned, “Why did I hear people say it’s some kind of Morgue?”

Zhang Bei’s face stiffened, “What are they talking about? It’s just a resting place.”

The Tour Guide didn’t really mind. After all, it was hard to believe a proper Amusement Park would actually set up a Morgue.

The nickname “Morgue” was given by Stream Viewers from Qingqing’s Live Stream. After two days of spreading, it had become well-known throughout the Amusement Park.

Only those visitors who couldn’t even stand would go in there.

From the outside, you could see a neat row of people lying down, which is how the name “Morgue” came about.

The Tour Guide divided the group into several parts to experience different attractions.

The Drop Tower could accommodate many people-there were more than seventy in this group.

Soon, it was the tour group’s turn. Zhang Bei didn’t continue chatting.

The doctor nearby escorted the last two visitors into the Pavilion and walked over.

“When do you plan to start using that Wristband?”

Zhang Bei scratched his head, “What Wristband?”

“The one in the Emergency Room, for monitoring heart rate.”

Only then did Zhang Bei remember-the trial reward from before seemed to be a Wristband.

But he hadn’t paid much attention to it, thinking it wasn’t very useful.

“Is it useful?”

Hearing Zhang Bei’s question, the doctor paused, his eyes growing more resentful.

“How could it not be useful? With that Wristband, I wouldn’t have to check everyone individually.
I wouldn’t have to run back and forth all day, and I wouldn’t…”

Listening to the endless complaints, Zhang Bei waved his hand.

“Alright, alright, if you think it’s useful, just take it and use it.”

The doctor stopped, casting a resentful look as he walked toward the Emergency Room.

Watching the doctor’s back, Zhang Bei shivered.

How did a perfectly normal person end up acting like a resentful wife?

Suddenly, a passionate scream erupted overhead.

Zhang Bei looked up-it was clear the Drop Tower had started.

That familiar voice obviously came from the Tour Guide’s throat.

Zhang Bei twitched his lips. It was only thirty meters, and the scream was already so intense.

He could hardly imagine how the Tour Guide would fare on the Human Yo-Yo ride.

Zhang Bei’s concern didn’t last long. As soon as the Drop Tower climbed to ninety meters, the Tour Guide’s voice disappeared.
