Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Mom looked as if she had been struck by lightning.
She stood there blankly, at a complete loss for words.
She had genuinely intended to accept Anxin again; she had even decorated Anxin’s room to be exceptionally cozy just so she would be comfortable.
But now, the fig leaf that had barely maintained a sense of balance had been ripped away.
Dad was a little angry. Frowning, he did something rare: he stood up for Mom.
“Wanqing didn’t know about this.”
Anxin cried helplessly.
“I want to leave this place. I’m going abroad, and I’m never coming back.”
Amidst her struggle, she clutched her chest, turned deathly pale, and collapsed.
Dad panicked.
He blurted out, “Wanqing, you go out first.”
Mom left with a pale face, staggering and looking as pathetic as a stray dog.
Later, Aunt Zhang told me: emotion is a multiple-choice question, and the one who is abandoned is always the one who isn’t important.
So that was it.
It turned out Mom wasn’t important to Dad.
Then why did they get married?
Why did they keep insisting they had me because of love?
It took a long time before I finally figured out the truth of the matter.
Years ago, Anxin had accidentally entered a hotel room and was raped by my uncle, who had been drugged.
Afterward, she fled in sorrow, only to find herself unexpectedly pregnant. Because of her heart disease, she couldn’t have an abortion and was forced to give birth to the child.
That day at the hospital, when she saw my uncle, she realized the man who had raped her all those years ago was actually Mom’s brother.
Grandmother felt incredibly sorry for Anxin. She gave her jewelry, houses, and money, telling her she must try to move on-that it was someone else who did wrong, not her, and she shouldn’t punish herself for someone else’s mistakes.
Dad was also full of guilt. He refused to answer Mom’s calls and sent her a text telling her not to come back for now, so as not to trigger Anxin.
I was the only one who sneered. “Did you do a paternity test?”
At that moment, it was as if someone had pressed the pause button on the air.
They looked at me in shock, and then their gazes gradually turned cold, subconsciously ignoring my words.
And once again, I found myself unable to speak.
Though I was annoyed, I hadn’t come away empty-handed.
Because the plot had stopped me, it actually confirmed one thing: Yibao was very likely not my uncle’s child at all.
Otherwise, the plot wouldn’t have silenced me again.
I went to the kindergarten and took the initiative to be nice to Yibao, saying I would braid her hair.
She was suspicious. “I’m not falling for your tricks. Mommy says you’re a bad kid.”
Suppressing my anger, I whispered, “Daddy said if I don’t become best friends with you, he won’t talk to me anymore.”
Yibao was thrilled. “Your daddy doesn’t want you anymore! From now on, he’s my daddy!”
She was so excited that she said it very loudly, and many people heard her.
Evidence obtained!
I grabbed a handful of her hair and punched her right in the face.
Things got very chaotic after that.
She was crying, while I was secretly stuffing the hair I had yanked out into my pocket.
The final result was, as usual, calling the parents.
Dad arrived.
Yibao threw herself into his arms, sobbing out her grievances.
Meanwhile, I stood there, staring at him with a resentful gaze.
Dad was provoked.
“Yu Pinlan, you’ve disappointed me too much.”
He must have been truly furious to use my full name.
I said coldly, “She said my daddy doesn’t want me anymore. Do you not want me anymore?”
Dad was speechless.
He tried to communicate with Yibao, but Yibao would only cry about how much she hurt and how miserable she felt.
She was exactly like her mother, relying on faking weakness to trick people into pitying her.
Dad couldn’t get a damn thing out of her.
The teacher told us to go home and resolve it internally. After all, Yibao was the one in the wrong this time, and since we were family, it wasn’t easy for them to intervene.
But I refused to go home with Dad. Instead, I had the teacher call my uncle; I wanted to go back to my uncle’s house.
Soon, my uncle arrived.
When he saw Yibao, he could hardly even walk.
That look of excitement in his eyes-he was clearly searching for parts of Yibao that resembled himself.
He’s sick, actually taking the initiative to find a green hat to wear.
I reached out for him to hold me. Then, as he leaned down to pick me up, I unceremoniously grabbed his hair.
“Why did you help that bad woman bully Mom? You’re so mean! You’re not my uncle!”

Go, Yaya!
After Mom died, I began using the same manipulative tactics that the mistress once used to frame her, turning them against my father.
I watched as he was torn apart by public outcry. I...
