Chapter 7

The dream ended without me even realizing it, and I woke up right on time at seven in the morning.

While washing up, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.

No wonder Lu An asked me if I’d been up to something yesterday. With this flushed face and watery eyes, I looked exactly like someone who had just been “thoroughly cherished.”

I froze for a second.

Thoroughly… what?

Help! Why am I applying descriptions from CEO romance novels to myself?!

Still, that was way more thrilling and realistic than reading a hundred CEO stories.

I arrived at school a bit early today. Just as I stepped through the school gates, I heard someone call my name from behind.

“Huanhuan.”

My heart seemed to stop for a second. I turned around and, sure enough, saw Su Yu walking toward me.

Even though it was just an ordinary school uniform, on him, it looked better than any high-end designer suit worn by celebrities or idols.

He called me Huanhuan again.

Had the words spoken in my dream last night come true?

I’m quite timid by nature-shy and easily embarrassed. With so many students on campus right now, him calling me that and walking alone with me drew quite a few lingering stares.

“Have you had breakfast?” Su Yu asked.

I didn’t even dare to look at him, keeping my head down as I walked forward.

In response to his question, I instinctively shook my head, then quickly nodded.

Soon, a carton of milk was held out in front of me, straw already inserted.

I slowly took it and thanked him.

The milk carton was small, so my fingers inevitably brushed against his. As my fingertips lightly grazed his firm knuckles, my hand betrayed me with a slight tremble, and my face instantly felt like it was on fire.

Afraid he might laugh at me, I hurriedly stole a glance at his expression.

Su Yu remained perfectly composed. He clearly saw everything, yet he didn’t point it out.

A sense of confusion sprouted in my mind like grass after a rain, appearing without warning.

I felt like the way he looked at me was a bit different than before.

And besides, we’ve never really interacted much. Why was he suddenly being so nice to me?
