Chapter 5

After school, I rushed to finish my homework and settled myself neatly in bed.

It wasn’t long before drowsiness washed over me. I’m not sure how much time passed, but when I opened my eyes again, I had indeed returned to the dream world I shared with Su Yu last night.

Just like before, Su Yu was sleeping right next to me.

This time, I had the chance to take a good look at him. I realized that this Su Yu was somewhat different from the one I faced every day.

The delicate features of his face had faded slightly, replaced by a more mature and handsome look.

Even his arms beneath his pajamas were visibly strong and powerful, having shed the scrawniness of youth.

It was obvious that this Su Yu was several years older; I guessed he was at least twenty-six.

I sat up slowly, moving as quietly as possible. My eyes swept across the bedroom before I finally turned to look at the headboard.

Hanging above it was actually a wedding photo of Su Yu and me.

In the photo, we were dressed in a wedding gown and a suit, leaning into each other with deep affection, our smiles radiating from the heart.

A sweet warmth filled my chest. I thought to myself that this dream certainly knew how to set the stage, even constructing what we would look like as adults.

I studied my future self in the photo. My temperament was visibly more confident, and I looked much more beautiful and radiant.

Would I really look like this in the future?

I touched my face, then remembered another area I was concerned about. I reached down with both hands to give my chest a little lift.

Whoa! They really were quite a bit bigger!

I smiled with satisfaction, only to turn my head and realize that Su Yu had been awake for a while.

Propping his head up with one hand, he asked with a faint smile, “Huanhuan, what are you doing?”
