Wang Ming left the Hanniu 4S Store, successfully redeemed the Juzi Laptop.
He then went to the Dazhong Car 4S Dealership and picked up a 200,000-yuan A-class family sedan.
With temporary plates, he drove straight to Feicui Huating Area A.
He dialed Zou Shuqing’s number.
“Wang Ming, do you need something?”
“I told you, I would ask you out.”
“You’re really crazy! I’m Zou Mengmeng’s mother, how could I go on a date with you? Child, you just broke up, Auntie doesn’t blame you, but if it’s about this kind of thing, don’t call me again.”
Zou Shuqing sat at the desk in the living room, glanced at the roses in the vase on the table, her cheeks flushing.

“Did you win the lottery?”
“Just get in, let’s have lunch and talk while we eat.”
How could she agree? If she really went to lunch with Wang Ming, wouldn’t that be a date?

Wang Ming withdrew his gaze and said seriously, “It’s just a meal, don’t be so resistant. Just consider it comforting me after breaking up with your daughter.”
Zou Shuqing still shook her head firmly, a hint of helplessness in her eyes, “I really can’t go. It’s not as simple as just having a meal.

To be precise, her initial impression was just average, but her fondness for Wang Ming soared after receiving the Heart’s Flower Bouquet.
Wang Ming tilted his head slightly, a sly smile on his face. “We haven’t done anything shameful. It’s just a meal and a chat. Besides, it’s the modern era – aren’t relationships with a big age gap even more exciting?”
A blush returned to Zou Shuqing’s cheeks. She bit her lip. “Exciting? What are you talking about! Don’t say such things!”
Her eyelashes quivered. “I really have work to take care of. I don’t have the time.”
Wang Ming checked his watch. “It’s still early. Let’s grab a quick meal; it won’t take long. I promise I won’t hold you up. There are some things on my mind I want to share – just listen to me complain a little, will you?”
As he spoke, he gently took Zou Shuqing’s arm and guided her toward the passenger seat.
Zou Shuqing stumbled into the passenger seat. “Wang Ming, how can you do this! I said I’m not going with you.”
The Dazhong Car’s door closed with a dull thud.
Wang Ming walked to the other side, got into the driver’s seat, and locked the doors.
Zou Shuqing looked at Wang Ming’s expectant gaze, and her defenses gradually softened.
She realized that her attitude toward Wang Ming had changed without her noticing. She didn’t know why. Although she felt conflicted inside, her refusal was only on the surface; deep down, she was looking forward to this meal.
“Alright, just this once, and not again. We have to be quick – I really can’t stay out too long.” Zou Shuqing compromised.
She ran a private online shop customizing cheongsams.
She worked from home every day, handling everything from design to finished garment by herself.
When Wang Ming heard Zou Shuqing agree, he smiled and started the car.
On the way to the restaurant, the elegant, subtle scent of a mature woman’s perfume filled the car, making Wang Ming feel a bit heady.
He stole a glance at Zou Shuqing beside him. She was looking out the window, a hint of nervousness in her eyes.
“Your perfume smells wonderful.”
Zou Shuqing’s face flushed at Wang Ming’s words. She gave a small cough. “Really? It’s just the perfume I usually wear.”
“It suits you perfectly – just like you: elegant and charming.”
Zou Shuqing gave him a reproachful look. “You kid, stop that.”
Though she said this, her heart felt as sweet as honey.
During the rest of the drive, they chatted about inconsequential work matters, and the mood gradually relaxed.
Fifteen minutes later, the car stopped in front of a Western restaurant. Wang Ming got out, walked around to the passenger side, and opened the door for Zou Shuqing.
Zou Shuqing stepped out gracefully, adjusted her clothes, and walked into the restaurant with Wang Ming.
The restaurant’s atmosphere made Zou Shuqing’s eyes light up – it was clearly an upscale place.
Soft lighting and gentle music put people at ease.
Wang Ming led Zou Shuqing to a window seat and handed her the menu.
“Shuqing, take a look and order whatever you like. Today is my treat.”
Zou Shuqing took the menu and glanced at it. “Mengmeng said your monthly salary is four thousand. This place is so expensive for you. Let me treat you.”
She was so gentle and understanding – how could she still be single at thirty-seven?
Wang Ming watched Zou Shuqing flipping through the menu and said earnestly, “I think I’ve really fallen for you.”
