A conversation suddenly flashed through her mind.

It was the exchange between the Director and the Male Lead, just before she lost consciousness and fully blacked out.

Li Zhixuan pursed her lips, frowned, and stepped forward to carefully examine the woman. “A victim?”

Wang Ming also found it odd, suspecting the woman might be having some kind of mental breakdown.

The woman’s body was still trembling uncontrollably, her grief and the cold making her shake even more violently.

“Come on, let’s get you warmed up first,” Wang Ming said, supporting the woman as he spoke.

Li Zhixuan helped support her other arm.

“Bastard!”

“Bastard!”

The woman kept repeating these words along the way.

Wang Ming and Li Zhixuan supported the woman, slowly making their way to the Business Hall of the Crematorium.

A few people inside glanced at the woman’s bizarre funeral attire and hairstyle, all shuddering in fright, their faces filled with terror.

The three of them hurried over.

Wang Ming frowned deeply and couldn’t help but complain, “Can’t you even tell the living from the dead? You almost pushed a living person into the cremation furnace.”

One of them immediately realized what had happened, his face turning bright red as he stammered, “I’ll… I’ll… I’ll go get the manager.”

The other two, both younger, just stood there in shock, completely stunned by the situation-this was something they’d never encountered before.

Li Zhixuan called out anxiously to the two, “Quick, find us a room! Do you have any blankets?”

“Oh, I’ll go get one right away!” one of them replied, turning and hurrying off.

Another pointed to a room not far away with its door open. “That’s the Reception Room, come this way.”

Wang Ming looked at the man. “Go get some hot water!”

“Oh, oh, right!” The last man also ran off.

Wang Ming and Li Zhixuan helped the woman into the Reception Room.

The woman collapsed into a chair, covering her face with both hands, sobbing softly, “You… you’ll die a horrible death… you beast…”

Wang Ming glanced at Li Zhixuan, their eyes meeting, both faces full of confusion.

Wang Ming pulled over a chair and sat gently beside the woman, asking softly, “What exactly happened?”

The woman tried to compose herself, reaching up to smooth her disheveled hair.

Li Zhixuan quickly took out a tissue from her bag and handed it over, speaking gently, “Here, wipe your face.”

The woman looked at the cheap makeup powder on her hand, now smeared and coming off from her tears, and shook her hand in disgust before taking the tissue.

She wiped away her tears, then swept all her messy hair to the side of her forehead.

Wang Ming stared intently and was stunned.

Li Zhixuan froze for two seconds, then cried out in surprise, “Lin Qi!”

Wang Ming, worried he was mistaken, looked again carefully and asked in shock, “Are you really Lin Qi?”

Lin Qi nodded gently.

Li Zhixuan instinctively covered her mouth, her face full of disbelief.

Wang Ming, after receiving confirmation, also froze instantly.

Lin Qi was an A-list Actress in Daxia Country, owning several luxury homes in Xiguan City.

Even for a cameo, her appearance fee was in the tens of millions.

At only thirty years old, she was an artist who didn’t take roles lightly, very selective with scripts, and hadn’t released any new work in two years.

At this moment, the staff member who had gone to get a blanket walked into the room. “Here, found the blanket.”

Lin Qi glanced at him and said, “No need, I’m already much warmer.”

After hanging up, Wang Ming checked the time. It was already past three thirty in the afternoon.

Thinking about how far he still had to travel, he knew he had to hurry back to spend some time with Zou Shuqing before evening.
