Chapter 3
Huo Qing’s words stirred up a storm, yet she simply waved her sleeve and left, calm and unruffled.
Zheng Qianfei was so angry that she burst into tears in the dormitory:
“I must have the worst luck in eight lifetimes to end up sharing a dorm with someone like Huo Qing! She just can’t stand to see others happy. She can’t make friends herself, no guy likes her, so she has to come and mess with me!”
“Exactly!” Ren Anran said indignantly. “There are lots of people like her, jealous and twisted, pretending to be mysterious.”
The two of them joined forces, cursing Huo Qing together.
I listened for a while, then timidly raised my hand to speak: “But… don’t you think she has a point? Feifei’s boyfriend really never talks to her on voice chat.”
“Xu Yi! What do you mean?” Zheng Qianfei suddenly looked up, her eyes red as she glared at me, as if she’d suffered a huge injustice. “Are you saying, just like that lunatic Huo Qing, that my boyfriend is a ghost? A dead man?”
“No, no, no,” I quickly shook my head to deny it. “How could that be? That’s not what I meant. I just thought, didn’t Huo Qing say your boyfriend doesn’t dare to voice chat with you? So why not do it once, prove it to her, and she’ll have nothing left to say.”
“That’s right!” Ren Anran slapped her forehead. “That’s a good idea! When you do the voice chat, record it, and then post it in the group. Let Huo Qing listen to it and slap her in the face!”
Zheng Qianfei’s eyes lit up, her mood shifting from sad to happy: “Great! I’ll talk to Wu Ranjun in a bit.”
Wu Ranjun was Zheng Qianfei’s boyfriend.
Class was still in session when a message popped up in our three-person dorm group (without Huo Qing).
Zheng Qianfei: [My boyfriend agreed to voice chat with me!]

Stinky Treasure (Wu Ranjun): [Huh? But, baby, it’s not convenient for me to talk.]
Piggy in Flight: [Why? I don’t care! If you don’t voice chat with me, we’re breaking up!]
