Chapter 1
Chapter 1
I am a master of time management.
I’ve been dating eight boyfriends simultaneously for three months now.
None of them have discovered each other’s existence. In fact, they all believe they are the love of my life.
They often feel smothered or annoyed by the sheer depth of my devotion.
Time and again, they warn me to remember my place and not to harbor any delusions of grandeur regarding our relationship.
It’s hilarious. The only thing I harbor delusions about is their money.
Boyfriend Number One: Xu Moran.
He’s a wealthy Domineering CEO, but he’s incredibly high-maintenance.
He has a thing for office roleplay.
Every time we meet, he insists I wear a white dress and act as his secretary.
During his lunch breaks, I even have to play the piano for him.
He’s a total poser.
But he’s so rich and gullible that he’s practically irresistible.
For our lunch date today, I followed his instructions to the letter: white dress, light makeup, and long, straight black hair. I waited for him in his office.
When he returned from his meeting, his brow furrowed instantly.
He shot me a look of pure disgust-the look he always gave his “stand-in.”
“A crude imitation,” he sneered. “No matter how much you dress the part, you’ll never be worth a single hair on her head.”
I gave him a polite smile. “As long as you like it.”
This idiot is so much work. Didn’t he literally ask for this?
His gaze turned even colder at my response.
Heaven knows what kind of drama he was dreaming up in his head.
“I warned you not to fall for me,” he said. “She is the only woman I will ever love in this lifetime.”
Yeah, yeah, I get it. You have a White Moonlight.
I pinched myself hard to make my eyes well up, then walked over to the piano and played a rendition of “Uneasy.”
He didn’t even make it halfway through before slamming his chair back and standing up.
He looked profoundly disappointed. “Utterly ear-splitting. As expected, a fake is a fake, no matter how much she looks the part.”
He cut the date short and turned to leave.
At that exact moment, a notification popped up: 200,000 yuan had been deposited into my account.
I wiped away a stray tear at his retreating back and shouted a blatant lie: “Xu Moran, I don’t want your damn money!”
Sure enough, that look of loathing returned to his face.
“Remember,” he said, his voice like ice. “Between us, there will never be anything but a financial transaction.”
Then, out of spite, he transferred another 500,000 to me.
Oh ho!
What a rebel.
I love it!
