After sending food once, my Fiancé arranged for beautiful clothes and jewelry for me.

I took it as a sign of affirmation.

It seems he cares about me, but his personality is reserved and he doesn’t know how to express it.

So I could only take the initiative.

From then on, I tried different ways to send Pei Du snacks every day.

Sometimes I thought of making medicinal dishes, but then wondered if I should check Pei Du’s pulse first?

After that busy period, Pei Du returned to the residence every day. I picked a time to go over, saying I had something to discuss with Pei Du.

The people around Pei Du looked as if they’d seen a ghost, but still went in to report.

What’s so surprising about this…

Every time I brought food, Pei Du’s attendants had the same expression. What’s so strange about me visiting my own Fiancé?

After I entered, that person deliberately left the door wide open, looking shifty-eyed.

A chilly wind blew in, making it very cold.

It wasn’t until Pei Du came over and closed the door that it felt better.

He poured me a cup of tea and asked, “Miss Wen, how have you been living in the residence these days?”

“Pretty well.”

I answered honestly, “It’s just that you’re too busy, I hardly ever see you.”

When Pei Du heard this, the tea he had just sipped caught in his throat and he started coughing violently.

I hurriedly stood up and gently patted his back to help him breathe.

“Are you alright?”

“I’m fine…”

Pei Du waved his hand, signaling me to sit back down.

My gaze fell on his slender hands.

My Fiancé truly has been blessed by heaven-even his hands are so long and beautiful, with distinct joints.

Before I realized it, my hand had already reached for his pulse.

Pei Du: “?”

Pei Du looked up at me, a bit puzzled.

I cleared my throat and said, “The weather has been getting colder lately. I came to check Young Master Pei’s pulse, to see if you need some medicinal dishes for nourishment.”

After all, he’s my future Husband, so I naturally care about his health.

Pei Du pressed his lips together, his long lowered lashes trembling intensely.

“Isn’t this inappropriate?”

I understood-after all, we aren’t married yet.

My Fiancé is shy and reserved; even after bringing me back for so long, he’s never taken the initiative to seek me out.

Although he said so, he didn’t withdraw his hand, quietly letting me touch his wrist.

I reassured him, “It’s fine, there’s no one else here.”

Hearing this, Pei Du looked up in shock, his long eyes widening slightly.

After Grandfather passed away, I traveled to the Capital to seek refuge with my Fiancé.

I had heard that he was proud and aloof, already enamored with someone else, and looked down upon me,...
