Twenty minutes later.

I yawned, my voice thick with fatigue.

“Honey, I think I’m carbon dizzy. I’m so sleepy.”

Zhou Shi’an gently wrapped an arm around my shoulders.

“You didn’t sleep well last night, did you? Go rest, I’ll take care of the dishes.”

I nodded obediently.

My steps were a bit unsteady as I made my way back to the bedroom.

About ten minutes passed.

The mattress beside me dipped slightly, and a warm breath brushed across my face.

“Honey?”

Zhou Shi’an’s voice was tentative.

“Are you asleep?”

I remained perfectly still, not even my eyelashes quivered.

He seemed unconvinced and reached out to gently pat my cheek.

Seeing that I didn’t react at all, he finally appeared satisfied.

The bed felt lighter as Zhou Shi’an got up.

His footsteps headed toward the small balcony off the bedroom.

I strained to listen as he made a phone call:

“…Yes, right now.

“Haven’t you always wanted to try it right in front of her?

“The chance is here-she’s out cold, no matter what we do, she won’t know a thing.

“Come quickly, your man’s got a surprise waiting, you’re guaranteed to love it!”

Buzz.

It felt like something exploded inside my head, leaving me utterly stunned.

I thought he just wanted to drug me so he could sneak out and fool around.

I never imagined he’d actually bring that woman into our home?

And make me part of their damn game?

Sick! Disgusting! Shameless!

Rage burned through me so fiercely that my body trembled uncontrollably.

I bit down hard on my lower lip, fighting the urge to leap up and beat him within an inch of his life.

Thank God Zhou Shi’an was too pumped up to notice anything amiss.

I heard him hang up.

The sliding door rattled as he rushed out of the room.

Then came the sound of the front door opening.

He left?

Went out to meet her?

Or off to prepare his so-called “surprise?”

I snatched up my phone, typing a frantic message to Qiao Xi:

[Zhou Shi’an’s not even human. He’s about to bring that woman over and do God-knows-what right in front of me.]

[Get over here-bring people! I swear, I’m going to kill him!!]

Qiao Xi didn’t reply.

I was freaking out.

[Xixi, did you see this? Answer me!]

Just then.

Sounds came from the front door again.

My nerves snapped to attention. I stuffed my phone back under the pillow as fast as I could, shut my eyes, and tried to steady my breathing.

Zhou Shi’an walked in humming cheerfully, clearly in a great mood.

Then came the rustling of movement.

I peeked open my eyes just a sliver.

And saw a scene I would never forget for the rest of my life!
