After lunch.
Zhou Shi’an thoughtfully brought me a glass of orange juice, smiling kindly.
“Yaoyao, your favorite fresh-squeezed orange juice. It’s just the right temperature.”
I looked up at him and gave him a sweet smile.
“Thank you, hubby. You’re so good to me.”
Right in front of him, I picked up the glass and drank it all in one go, finishing every last drop.
Still craving more, I licked the corner of my mouth and shook the empty glass at him.
“So delicious.”
A fleeting look of delight flashed in Zhou Shi’an’s eyes.
He took the empty glass from me, his tone doting: “As long as you like it. I’ll make it for you again next time.”
My smile never wavered.
Of course, I knew he had added something to it.
He just didn’t know-I’d secretly swapped out his sleeping pills for vitamins.
