The police had clearly long known about Qin Xue’s background, but they didn’t realize there was so much more behind it.

After I finished speaking, I shrugged nonchalantly and continued with a smile, “I just remembered, during this period, Qin Xue was very disillusioned with life. It’s very likely she couldn’t get over it and poisoned us.”

“What does this mean? It means that after you filled your own cup, the other three touched your cup.”

“Ji Xia, ever since the poisoning case happened, you’ve been misleading us. Including yourself, all four of you have pointed fingers at each other. I understand you-maybe you wanted to stir things up through public opinion, so the police would investigate thoroughly.”

“Now, you don’t need to do that anymore. You can trust us. We will investigate properly, and as soon as the evidence is solid, we’ll arrest the real culprit.”

I slowly raised my head, eyes full of tears, looking at Zhong Minglang in disbelief. “What did you say?”

Zhong Minglang didn’t understand and showed a puzzled expression.

I broke down and shouted, “What did you say? Repeat those lines about the fingerprints again!”

Seeing Zhong Minglang didn’t react, the Policewoman stepped in:

“On your cup, we found five overlapping fingerprints.”

“Your fingerprints are at the very bottom, theirs are in the middle, and the topmost fingerprints are still yours.”

“What does this mean? It means that after you filled your own cup, the other three touched your cup.”
