Chapter 1
A magnificent stage, light and cheerful music.
Linking arms with them, I leapt gently. The four of us moved in perfect unison, our steps synchronized.
The audience below was utterly captivated, but I suddenly noticed that the three girls beside me had slowed their movements.
A faint pain began to pulse in my stomach.
Is it finally coming?
A hint of excitement stirred within me, and a strange smile curled at my lips.
During the final soaring movement, the girls beside me kept leaping.
Their slender necks traced graceful lines, expressing a longing for freedom and the sky.
The music gradually faded, about to end… I mean this “Swan Lake.”
Of course, I’m not just talking about this “Swan Lake.”
With a thud, the three of them collapsed to the floor, crimson blood trickling from the corners of their mouths.
I couldn’t hold out either, and as the pain twisted in my stomach, I slowly fell.
The music stopped abruptly, and the whole hall erupted in screams.
Someone had died.
