Under my meal plan, Jiang Tingrou lost weight very quickly.

In fact, according to scientific weight loss guidelines, losing one to two jin per week is already a lot; losing weight any faster can easily cause health problems.

But seeing the number on the scale drop is addictive, and I would always offer a few clever words of guidance by her side:

“Everyone says that Mo Xue Er has a great figure, but actually, Miss Jiang has a better foundation. At the same weight, she would definitely be more beautiful than her.”

Mo Xue Er is a popular young celebrity. Not long ago, both she and Manager Gu, Jiang Tingrou’s fiancé, were invited to a charity gala. The two were photographed together by the media, which led many gossip-loving netizens to start shipping them as a couple.

[Isn’t this the classic pairing of a domineering CEO and a female star? They look so well-matched.]

[Don’t talk nonsense, Manager Gu already has a fiancée.]

[Yeah, we know, but I just really like the height and body contrast between Manager Gu and Xue Er. His fiancée, Miss Jiang, seems a bit sturdy…]

Jiang Tingrou was furious when she saw these comments and made a big show of wanting to hire a lawyer to sue them.

Manager Gu was reading financial reports by her side. After she finished venting, he calmly said, “Why would you sue over this? They didn’t slander you.”

Since then, Mo Xue Er became a thorn in Jiang Tingrou’s heart. Now, hearing me mention her, Jiang Tingrou immediately frowned irritably. “How much does she weigh, roughly?”

“Judging by the eye, probably around 85 to 90 jin.”

“Then that’s my target weight.”

I looked surprised. “Miss Jiang, female celebrities need to be that thin because they have to look good on camera. For us ordinary people, it’s really not necessary!”

I deliberately emphasized the words “ordinary people.” As expected, Jiang Tingrou became even more displeased.

She said, “If Mo Xue Er can do it, why can’t I? My target weight is ninety jin. If you can’t make it happen, you’re fired.”

I hurriedly nodded and agreed that it could be done.

Only then was Jiang Tingrou satisfied.

Everyone knows that Jiang Tingrou is looking forward to this wedding.

The reason is simple: she loves Manager Gu too much.

She wants to wear a wedding dress and give this ten-year-long romance a fairy-tale ending. For that, she must be as beautiful as a princess from a fairy tale.

In the early morning, after preparing a day’s worth of nutritious ingredients for Jiang Tingrou, I went out for a morning run.

The sky wasn’t fully bright yet, and the villa area was sparsely populated. However, after a few laps, I noticed someone running alongside me in the mist.

It was Jiang Tingrou’s fiancé, Gu Xiao.

My previous research had told me that Gu Xiao had developed a habit of morning runs since university, keeping it up for ten years without fail.

But at this moment, I pretended to be surprised by the encounter. “Manager Gu, you run too?”

Gu Xiao nodded. Usually dressed in a suit and tie, today he was rarely seen in casual sportswear, a light sheen of sweat on his forehead.

He asked me, “You’re Tingrou’s nutritionist, right? Your name is Su…”

He frowned, trying to recall. I quickly supplied, “Su Qingyu.”

He nodded slightly. “That’s a unique name. Is it from some classical literature?”

I smiled. “It’s not that poetic. The year I was born, there were a lot of weeds in the fields, so my grandfather gave me this name.”

Gu Xiao was slightly taken aback.

He said softly, “It’s been years since I’ve heard anyone talk about the fields.”

Unlike what the outside world imagines, Jiang Tingrou’s fiancé is not a rich young master born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but a legendary figure who worked his way up from a rural village to Beijing through his own efforts.
Gu Xiao has now entered high society, surrounded by rich second-generation heirs like Jiang Tingrou. His childhood memories in the countryside cannot resonate with these young masters and ladies, so Gu Xiao probably never talks about them with anyone.

But those memories are still the things that most touch a person’s soft heart.

Gu Xiao asked, “Do you go jogging every morning?”

I nodded politely. “I’m a body sculptor, so of course I need to keep up my exercise routine.”

He sighed, “If only Tingrou was willing to exercise too.”

The morning run ended quickly. Gu Xiao went to the company for a meeting, and I returned to Jiang Mansion to cook.

We went our separate ways, without saying much more.

But I could vaguely sense that Gu Xiao was looking forward to seeing me again at the next morning run.

…

However, when I returned to Jiang Mansion, what greeted me was Jiang Tingrou’s extremely gloomy face.

Several Servants gathered around her, looking on as if watching a show.

I immediately knew someone had tattled.

Sure enough, Jiang Tingrou walked up to me, lifted her chin, her gaze venomous: “You went jogging with Ah Xiao?”

I started trembling, stammering, “It was just a coincidence, Miss Jiang, I…”

Jiang Tingrou coldly interrupted me, “You’re fired.”

With that, she turned and walked away.

But she walked very slowly.

She was certain I wouldn’t dare leave Jiang Mansion. She had seen plenty of girls like me, born poor and needing to support their younger brothers. For us, a job at Jiang Mansion was the best opportunity; it would be hard to earn such a high salary elsewhere.

And just as Jiang Tingrou predicted, I indeed cried out, “Miss Jiang, please don’t, I really cherish this job…”

Jiang Tingrou stopped. She turned and looked at me, curling her lips into a cold smile: “Don’t want to leave?”

“Fine.” She casually picked up a piece of porcelain and smashed it on the floor. “Then kneel.”

I stared at the porcelain shards on the ground. That was a gift Gu Xiao had given Jiang Tingrou before.

Normally, Jiang Tingrou would never smash anything from Gu Xiao.

But there was no helping it-the proportion of carbs in those nutrition meals was far too low.

An extremely low carb ratio makes the weight drop quickly.

But it also leads to severe hair loss, anxiety, and irritability.

Jiang Tingrou hadn’t realized she was gradually losing control.

A fleeting smile flashed across my lips. Before anyone could notice it, I quickly knelt down.

The porcelain shards pierced my knees, and dark red blood snaked across the floor.

I bowed my head, begging bitterly, “Miss Jiang, please don’t fire me. My parents are old and sick, my brother’s tuition depends on me. I really cherish this job, please let me stay at Jiang Mansion.”

Stay at Jiang Mansion, and watch your death approach.

Jiang Tingrou didn’t know my true thoughts. She smiled faintly, stepped forward, and ground her toe into my fingers, savoring my pain and trembling as I dared not make a sound:

“Don’t even think about seducing Ah Xiao.

“Otherwise, next time, what you kneel on won’t be porcelain shards.”
