That evening, we arrived at a remote little town.
After the adults scouted the terrain and cleared out a few stray zombies, they chose a house for us to rest in.
I sat by the windowsill, letting out a long, melancholy sigh.
Yu Qingyan sat beside me, reaching out to touch my hand with a worried expression. “Yingying, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”
She was terrified that Xu Tianwei’s harassment had left me traumatized.
I let out another sigh. “I miss my daddy.”
I hadn’t seen my dad for over half a month. I didn’t know if he was worried sick.
Yu Qingyan asked, “Is your father a Superpower User?”
I answered honestly, “No.”
He was the Zombie Emperor.
Yu Qingyan looked even more concerned when she heard that.
She tried to comfort me, saying, “Once we get back to the Base, I’ll send out extra people to help look for your father. Maybe we’ll be able to find him…”
I nodded obediently, my voice sweet as I replied, “Thank you, Sister Yu!”
