Chapter 3

My husband still refused me.

He pushed me away and pulled out a photo.

“The girl in this photo is named Lin Xue’er. She’s already pregnant with my child.”

Tears streamed down my face with joy.

“That’s wonderful, husband! You have a child now!”

One thing I’ve always felt guilty about is that after so many years of marriage, I never gave my husband a son or a daughter.

My husband is in great health-it can’t possibly be his problem.

So I secretly went to the hospital for a checkup.

But the doctor said there was nothing wrong with me.

If there’s nothing wrong with me, then it must be my husband who has the problem.

How could that be possible?

My husband can’t possibly have a problem.

Husband is good, hospitals are bad.

So I tore up the test results and swore I’d keep this secret for him.

And now, look at that!

My husband has a child now.

I cradled the photo in my hands.

“What a beautiful girl! Their child is sure to be adorable.”

“Husband, my dream is to have eight children in one go. What about you?”

My husband was stunned, then started worrying about me again.

“Are you sick or something?”

I threw myself into his arms.

“Husband, you’re so sweet! How did you know I was lovesick?”
