I accidentally bumped into his stomach twice.
Gu Chen shoved me away with a look of utter disgust.
Then he lit a cigar.
I looked up.
His chin was covered in a bluish stubble.
His teeth were stained, and he wore a gleaming thumb ring on his hand.
My husband exhaled two lazy puffs of smoke.
“Let’s split up peacefully.”
I’d seen this sort of thing online before.
Some people, just so others would stop clinging to them, would deliberately make themselves look ugly.
My husband is definitely pretending to be ugly.
Otherwise, how could the man from ten-some years ago-six-foot-one, broad shoulders, narrow waist, eight-pack abs, built like a stallion-end up like this?
He must be going to great lengths.

I sobbed even harder.

I lunged forward and grabbed at his clothes.
